Internet Policy

San Diego City Schools has defined its Internet Policies at
http://edtech.sdcs.k12.ca.us/webmaster/AP4580.PDF.

SDUSD requires students who access the Internet at school to have signed
Internet Responsibility Contracts. Students lose their internet rights if
they violate the district or school Accepted Use Policy (AUP). No surfing,
chatting, shopping, or other nonacademic activities are permitted at any time
on Muir computers. To download nonacademic data onto school computers is a
misdemeanor.

Muir Library further requires that
*students work one to a computer,
*students use computers only for school assignments,
*students use computers only with the permission of a teacher,
*students sign in and out of the library,
*students using the Internet have a signed AUP,
*classes may reserve rights to use computers.

For safety and efficiency, we encourage students to access the
Internet through our web site, http://new.sandi.net/schools/muir. Students,
parents and teachers regularly post current information there.
