Dear New First Grade Families,
I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher and look forward to an exciting and fun-filled
year of learning experiences.
School will start on Monday, July 23rd at 8:00 a.m. We will be in room D1 throughout the school
year. I will meet students in the classroom on the first day of school. Beginning the second day of
school, students should be brought to the playground, where they will line up at our assigned spot
(first star on the left) when the first bell rings at 7:55 a.m. I will pick students up at the playground
each morning. Regular dismissal time is 2:20 p.m. Parents are welcome to wait outside of the
classroom to pick students up at dismissal time.
The first grade day includes a morning, lunch, and afternoon recess. I suggest sending two small
healthy snacks as well as a lunch each day. Lunches can be purchased daily or in bulk. Please
submit any lunch money in a sealed envelope labeled with your child's name, "Ms. Rebhan's class",
and your child's 4-digit PIN number.
Back to School Night for all B track classes will be held on the evening of Tuesday, July 24th. We will
begin in the quad area with a short presentation by Mr. Ramirez, our principal, followed by two-
thirty minute sessions in the classrooms. Back-to School Night is intended to be an adult-only
informational meeting for parents and teachers, so please try to make child care arrangements for
students and siblings.
