WELCOME BACK

THE DISTRICT REFRESHED OUR SERVER AND IN DOING SO I'VE HAD TROUBLE ACCESSING
MY GRADES AND THE ABILITY TO UPLOAD TO THIS WEBSITE AGAIN. Hopefully new
grades will be posted by Friday. However you all should have received a
progress report and signed and returned a copy to me before we tracked off.
If you didn't sign and return that, or if your child is deficient in any
subject you will be informed of that Friday
Extra Homework Credit to work on over the break- Due anytime before end of
second trimester (write EC on top of each and point value earned- turn in box
on teacher's desk)
15 points + all regular homework turned in = G for homework grade
25 points + all regular homework turned in = E for homework grade
1 point each:
- read a chapter of a book that is at least 20 pages- record the page numbers
and a 3-5 sentence summary of what you read (reading log entry style)
- complete either 1 intervention lesson or re-do a math homework page using
the link on this website-- print copy and complete
- exercise for at least 1/2 hour(limit 3 team sport practices per week)
- do a 1/2 hour chore without being asked - have your parent sign that you
did so
- go on a one day trip and write a paragraph describing your adventure
-decorate a part of the house for the holidays (with parent permission)
-rake and clean up a pile of leaves
-wash your parent's car
- clean up after a meal
- explore any website linked to this site and write 5-10 bullets about what
you have learned
-make a list of 20 words you want to learn how to spell, practice and have
someone give you a test and earn at least 80% on it
2 points each:
-make another comic as we did in class
- watch a younger brother, sister or cousin for 1-2 hours
-prep and shop for a meal
-prepare the meal and take a phone or other photo of someone eating your meal
-find another research source for the topic you want to explore for the
science fair write down at least 10 pertinent details and make a complete
bibliographical source information where you got the information
- plan a family outing
- babysit for a relative while they holiday shop (get a signature as proof)
- check out a book from the library on a hobby you are interested in starting
and read a part of the book for 15-30 minute

beneficial turn in proof that you did the project and have a parent sign off

Complete a history day project for nationalhistoryday.org look on the website-
get your idea and work on the project to turn in. Work on the 500 word
essay that goes along with the project and turn a draft in upon our return.
