Greetings Future Sixth Grade Students and Parents,
Students, I look forward to meeting you, or getting reacquainted with
you, on Monday, July 20th 7:55 a.m. Parents, I look forward to
seeing all of you at Back to School Night, Thursday, July 23rd. Our
classroom is G6.
These supplies will be checked out to you in a supply box on the
first day of school: red, black and blue ball point pens, pencils,
scissors, ruler, eraser, colored pencils, glue stick, note cards,
protractor, compass, and calculator . You will also receive binder
paper, graph paper, a Friday Folder and Sims Agenda.
The following supplies are needed as a donation* and can be purchased
before school begins:
3 inch ring binder
Binder subject dividers labeled: SVS, CLAS, Math, Social
Studies, Science, Language Arts
1 individual subject college ruled spiral bound notebook
A water bottle to keep in class
Pencil sharpener
Extras of consumable materials listed above (to be kept at
home and bring to school when personal supply runs out)
*If needed, supplies listed in this letter will also be available for
purchase with a student’s “King Cash” credit account on Friday July
24th.
**All supplies will also be kept in stock, as long as possible, using
the teacher’s school supply funds as well as through generous parent
and community donations. Twice a month students will be able to
purchase needed supplies, candy and other donated items using “King
Cash” earned for good behavior and completed class and homework.
***The texts are large and the desks are small in sixth grade. There
is no room for a student’s personal supply box or materials in or on
the desk. If you decide to purchase extra items they must keep them
at home or inside your binder or backpack.
