FAQFrequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
What is my password for checking my grade? Your password is your school ID#, beginning with a zero. **Grades will be updated on the website approximately every two weeks. How often are grade reports sent home? Ms. Burow's grade reports are sent home every 5 weeks, the week prior to school report cards. You have that week to turn in any missing work. No work will be accepted for the previous 5 week period after that date. Grades are also listed on the Eagle memos that are sent home every week. Each week you will get an update from either science, social studies, or English class. I was absent. How do I get my make-up work, and when is it due? When you have been absent, you are still responsible for completing any work you missed. You can get all the papers and notes from the Extra Copies file at the back of the room. See Ms. Burow at Nutrition, between classes, or after school if you have any questions about the assignments. It is best to get work caught up ASAP, but all make-up work is due at the end of each 5 week grading period. When you are absent, you can also check the Homework page of this website to see what assignments can be done before you return. Why don't the assignment totals and the points possible match? Each 5 week grade report will only show the current assignments. Total Class points are cumulative. That is, they are a total of points from the beginning of the semester till the end. However, you may only do assignments from the current 5 week grading period. Previous assignments still count, but cannot be changed. The best way to raise your grade is to turn in any missing work. Getting points for late work is better than a zero. Once all of your work is caught up, extra credit work may be done. What can I do for extra credit? A list of extra credit possibilities is available at all times in the Extra Copies file. Some extra credit assignments are worth a possible 10 points, others are worth a possible 20. Extra Credit may only be done if your REGULAR WORK IS CAUGHT UP. |
