Welcome to the 2009/20010 school year!
 

* ATTENTION PARENTS AND GUARDIANS:

  school year is

* GERMAN CLUB NEWS: 

  All interested students are invited to our next meeting which will take place on November 17, 2009 during lunch
  (room 91)
.  Anybody with an interest in the German language and culture can come to our meetings even if they are not 
  enrolled in a German class.  Remember: If you are enrolled in a German class, you will earn extra credit points by 
  joining German club and by being and active member!  For more information please visit the "German Club" page. 
 
 German club picture will be taken on November 19 during reading period (8:45). Please be there!

* GERMAN NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY:

  Congratulations to the following students for meeting the requirements of the German National Honor Society:
  Dane Albrecht, Dannie Alfaro, Miriam Ayala, Pete Gaede, Arthur Le, Allyson Lambros, Josh Logier, Tim Mendez, Torey 
  Milan, David Rannis, Norm Swartz, Eduardo Soto, Morgan White. The induction ceremony took place in May 2009.
 
  Our first meeting of the 2009//2010 school year will take place on 9/16 during lunch in room 91.  Please check 
  the "calender page" for upcoming meetings.  For more information please check the "Honor Society page".
  

* La Habra High School wins Soccerbridge Tournament! On Saturday, April 25, 2009 a team of 8 German students
   participated in a soccer tournament at Esperanza High School. Miriam Ayala, Rebekah Galvan, Dannie Alfaro, Santiago 
   Garcia, Arthur Le, Edson Lozano, Tylor Magdaleno, and Saul Rojano beat former champions Esperanza High in an intense
   final match 3:1. The La Habra team dominated in all their matches and won two games 6:1. They won a rophy that will stay
   at LHHS until next year, individual medals, as well as a check for $250 to be used for a dinner at a German restaurant. 
   The team had lots of fun and will be back next year to defend their title and possibly win a trip to Germany!

   Level 4:
Lindsey Bedwell, Max Curd, Grant Walker, Kristen Sutherland, Kevin Thompson, Cole Fagan
 
   All these students were honored at an awards ceremony in May 2009.

  
* ALL STUDENTS: 

  Don't forget to check this page every Monday for the Question Of The Week. You can earn 3 extra credit points
  for every correct answer or a free homework pass each time you answer three questions correctly.  Answers are due each
  Friday before 12:45 p.m. each week and will not be accepted late.  Students are responsible for keeping a log of their
  points/rewards.
