Mr.Gangitano works closely with students, parents and staff with the goal of
maximizing the opportunities for academic success for all of Lee's students.
In the village structure at Lee, the counselor is part of the team that
includes the student's teachers, school nurse, administration, and other
support staff in order to meet the overall needs of each student.
The Counselor continues to meet with students individually as needed, when
referred by parent, teacher, or self. The Counselor also provides support to
students in the form of group counseling. Students learn coping skills in
dealing with bereavement, parental divorce, substance abuse issues, etc.
The Counselor also makes appropriate referrals to outside agencies for
students and families as needed. Parents are encouraged to speak with Mr.
Gangitano for more information regarding these services.
In addition, Mr. Gangitano teaches the career exploration class as part of
the elective program menu for students. This exciting class allows students
to explore many career options that will be available to them in their
future.More information about this course can be found by clicking on the
