Social Studies

This is week 3 of the Social Studies unit. Students were presented with their choice of either a Basic, Proficient or Advanced project they can complete for this unit of Social Studies. Students who choose Basic will only score a possible 3, Proficient will score a possible 4, and Advanced will score a possible 5. All students are required to read each lesson and complete Cornell Notes with a summary after each page of notes. In addition, students will complete activities that coincide with their choice of project. Students will meet with teacher in groups to ask questions about their projects and will also be working on them in class every afternoon from 2:10 - 3:25.

Students were given the option of checking out a CD of the Social Studies book to use at home for this project. Parents need to be made aware of the potential cost to you if the CD is damaged in any way. However, it is not mandatory that students check out this CD, but it is helpful to them for this unit project.
