I am proud to be a part of the Liberty Elementary 6th grade staff. My own
children attended Liberty and I have the pleasure of teaching with a staff
that many have taught my own children. I firmly believe that it was due to
Liberty's structure that my children transitioned into Junior High, High
School, and College with as much success as they have had.
I have 2 daughters, Jennifer 23 & Danielle 17 as well as a granddaughter,
Aubry, who is 5. Both of my girls have always been very successful in
school, taking Honors and AP courses. Jennifer is now a Registerd Nurse
working at an Emergency Room down the hill. Danielle is a Senior who attends
Silverado High School. Jennifer will soon begin her quest to work towards
her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Danielle's goal is to attend Harvard and
begin her education in pre-law. Mom is hoping for something a little closer
to home!
I began as a parent here at Liberty volunteering in class. I then was a
proctor out on the playground during lunch, then was asked to train as a
substitude cashier. Following this, I did obtain a job at another Victor
Elementary School in our district as their permanent cashier. I moved
forward and became an instructional aide running the computer lab in yet
another one of our schools. I then began working full time as a clerk
typist, eventually becoming the secretary to former Liberty's principal,
Marie Miller who is the Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Services at our
District Office.
During these jobs, I continued to go to school at night and finally received
my Teaching Credential with a Masters in Education. I feel that returning to
Liberty has been a blessing for me. I have been teaching now going on my
fourth year, all have been in 6th grade.
During my off time, I enjoy camping in our motorhome with my husband, a 3
year old yellow lab and yellow lab mix. We enjoy riding motorcycles and
quads and try to get away as often as we can.
The Mission of Liberty Elementary School is for all students to be at or
above grade level in reading, writing, and mathematics by creating self-
motivated critical thinkers through balanced standards- based curriculum
enriched with technology.
