As one of the original charter developers, Debbie keeps the vision of
Literacy First Charter Schools, Inc. close to her heart and directs the
educational and personnel vision of our schools. Debbie brings years of
educational experience and entrepreneurship to this project. In her role as
principal, on a daily basis you will see her in the classroom teaching
students, building partnerships with parents, collaborating with teachers and
developing community relationships. As the Executive Director, Debbie works at
building team within the organization and development of best practices
throughout all aspects of LFCS, Inc.
Debbie holds a Master's Degree from San Diego State University in Education.
Her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education is from New Mexico
State University. She holds an Admin credential, a Multiple Subjects
teaching credential and the CLAD certificate. Debbie has been involved in
education for the past 30 years. Prior to starting Literacy First, Debbie was
the founder and director for Del Rey Schools. taught in both public and
private schools and has invested years in the education of children and their
families.
