¡Bienvenidos! Welcome!
My name is Senora Stonich, and I am very pleased to be part of the
Livermore Valley Charter School team.
This is going to be an exciting year for me, for the students, and
for the parents. I want each of you to know how much I am looking forward to
this year and the new experiences that it will bring. I hope that throughout
the year, your child will see the importance of learning a foreign language
and that he or she will become thrilled about the opportunities that come
with it.

• The program is aligned with the National Foreign Language Standards.
• The study of foreign language at the elementary level helps prepare
students to interact in the global community of the future, thus helping to
place our students in a more equitable position with students from other
global countries.
• A variety of methods are used – by using total physical response,
elementary children are able to learn best by doing.
• Students use the language they have learned in the classroom to ask
each other for objects, give directions, and ask simple questions.
• Cultural studies are an important part of the curriculum.
