Dear Parents and Students,
FOURTH GRADE MISSION CONSTRUCTION
Some students are ready to start their missions now! Here are the guidelines for the CONSTRUCTION of the missions.
** DUE DATE
Friday, (8:30 am), February 12 (just before Winter Break)
** The students may select ANY California mission* they wish
** Work individually or in pairs
** Don't spend a lot of $ (effort, key details, unique
aspects, and creativity are worth more)
** Size (The base NOT larger than 2' long and 1 1/2'
wide) Smaller is fine.
** Materials (anything within reason)
(i.e. cardboard, play dough, Lego... or a combination of different materials)
Information the students need to know for their oral reports. Short JOTS (no sentences) about:
Ø Materials used for construction
Ø Approximate TIME to assemble and finish
Ø Problems in construction
Ø Interesting facts learned about the mission during construction
Ø What stood out the most during this project
