NEW TRIMESTER
Picked book for next book report. Students have list as to type of book report for this genre, Historical Fiction, Middle Ages, Asia, Middle East. Africa, South America. Due date to be announced, about four weeks.
January 6th (Blue), 7th (Red) Historical fiction book report due
December 16 blue, 17th red - Voc #8
December 15th - show not tell "The game was close."
Voc #6 - due December 3rd, packet and quiz
show not tell, December 1st - "The streets were crowded."
Voc #5 was due last week (November 19th)
SHOW NOT TELL - This will be an assignment given weekly (usually), the day before it is due. They
are
given a telling sentence (last week, "The ride was uncomfortable) and then to write a paragraph
using
showing. It is a rough draft, but I do prefer it be typed.
VOCABULARY PACKETS are homework and are due on Wednesday or Thursday (depending on week) with a 10 minute quiz on Thursday or Friday.
These will be weekly with some exceptions. Please check if there is vocabulary homework for the
week.
