Monday is Walk Through the Ancients all day-  no homework
Tuesday-Ancient Mesopotamia
Wednesday-Reading and Talent Show
Thursday/Friday-ancient Mesopotamia/expository writing/literature groups
 
Homework for the remainder of the week:
-Complete book cards for the trimester by Friday.
-Complete book logs by Friday.
-3 pages of notes for research for Walk Through the Ancients-due Thursday
-Lit group worksheet due
            Blue-discussion group-Thursday
            Purple-discussion group-Friday
-Final draft of expository essay -due Friday

Next Monday, November 16 is Walk Through the Ancients.
 Parents,   This is not a formal presentation, but if you would like to attend the program please let me know.  Space is limited.  Your child is bringing home an information sheet today.

In Class:
    Walk Through the Ancients-Planning and rehearsing presentations
    Book Groups-Blue-discussion groups on Tuesday-Worksheet due
                         -Purple-discussion groups on Friday-Worksheet due
    Writing-Revising expository pieces with strong thesis and expert opinion
 
Homework:
   Give parents invitation to history presentation-Monday
   Work on your costume this week.  Due Monday, Nov. 16
   Memorize your character and word cards.  Due Friday
   Find one article to support your expository essay.  Due Thursday
   Read lit group book or independent reading book.  Daily
 
Week of November 2, 2009

History tests need to be shown to your parents, signed and returned.
You may make-up portions of the test that you failed on Friday at lunch.

    Weekly Writing
This week you do not have to generate any new writing.  
You should be developing and revising your expository and creative writing piece.
Email computer documents to school or put them on a pin drive, so you have access to them.

        Due Wednesday -100 words describing scary person
