OPAC stands for Online Public Access Catalog. It is Miller Creek's card
catalog online. Use the OPAC to search for books and other materials in
Miller Creek's Library.
The OPAC is now available to you outside of school through the internet. You
can log in from home to your account and see what
books you have checked out and when they are due. You will need your library
card number and your last name as the password to do this.

Can't get to the library to find a book to read? Can't find a book you want
in the library, or it's always checked out? Try reading a book online! Miller
Creek has a ever-expanding list of titles you can access from your computer,
iPhone, iPad, or other internet-connected device. Click on the book you want
to read and it will open up on your screen. Wait, it didn't work? Try
disabling pop-ups and try again. miller creek students will need a user name
and password to access the online books.

Reading a series? Find out what book to read next by going to this great site
at the Mid-Continent Public Library. Click on the letter of the alphabet to
find the series title, then scroll down until you find the series you need.
Books are listed in the order to read.

LEXILE LEVELS
You can search our OPAC for fiction books at your Lexile reading level.
Click on Boolean search, then select Lexile Score from the pull down list,
type your beginning Lexile number in the first blank. Select the box marked
"through"; from the next pull down list, and type the end Lexile number in the
second blank. Click on search and the OPAC will find books in the number range
you have selected.
Don't know your Lexile level? You can find it through the STAR test results
mailed to your home late this summer. On the back you will find the California
Reading Level. Just add two zeros to this number to make it a Lexile number.
