A Message from Mr. Taylor:  I am pleased to announce that we have received the formal announcement from the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Jack O’Connell, that we are a 2009 California Distinguished School.  Many of you may have already seen this announcement in the San Jose Mercury News.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our students who perform so well on a daily basis and who interacted well with the State School Recognition Team when they visited in February.

I would also like to thank our dedicated teachers and staff who everyday strive to create the best teaching and learning environment possible.  Their dedication and professionalism is honored by this award.

Finally, I would like to thank Mr. Burrell and the team of teachers who wrote the application that began this whole adventure.

I am very proud of all of us.
