Schedule:
9:00-9:15 Bus Loading: Classes will be called via intercom to load buses.
We will be loading on Rainbow Drive and DiNapoli. Buses will be numbered from
1-17. Buses 1-9 will be on Rainbow Drive. Buses 10-17 will be on DiNapoli.
Remember your bus number for ease of re-loading.
9:30 Departure
10:00 Arrival: Students must be back at the designated bus loading area at
4:30 P.M. sharp to return to Miller.
10:15 Have Fun!
4:30 Students arrive back at bus area for bus pick-up: Please look for the
bright colored signs taped on the window. These signs will be numbered for
ease of identification.
5:15-5:30 Arrive back at Miller.
Helpful Tips:
• Wear a watch (cell phones also have the time.)
• Wear sunscreen and reapply after several hrs. or after getting wet.
• Lockers are located to the right as you enter the park.
• Don't go on wet rides within 30 min. of getting on the bus.
• Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
• No less than 2 in a group. Do not go anywhere alone.
• Be aware and respectful. You are representing yourself and Miller.
• Bringing a cell phone for emergencies is OK, but do not bring too many items.
• Don't get in a line or on a ride shortly before time to go (be early back to
the bus).

Great America Field Trip
There will be no zero period on June 9, 2008. All students should come to
school at 8:38 a.m. The annual Miller Middle School Reward Day will be held on
Monday, June 9th, at Paramount’s Great America in Santa Clara. The purpose of
the day is to reward students who have displayed good citizenship, behavior,
and attention to their studies during the course of the school year. All
students can attend as long as they have met the eligibility requirements and
turned in their permission slips and paid.
Transportation to Great America will be by bus. The buses will leave Miller
for Great America at 9:00 a.m. and return at approximately 5:00 p.m. All
students must return to Miller on the bus. Please watch for permission slips
and pricing information coming home mid May and be sure to return them promptly

Dear Parents,
The annual Miller Middle School Reward Day will be held on Monday, June 9th,
at Paramount’s Great America in Santa Clara. The purpose of the day is to
reward students who have displayed good citizenship, behavior, and attention
to their studies during the course of the school year. All students can
attend as long as they have met the eligibility requirements*.
Transportation to Great America will be by bus. The buses will leave Miller
for Great America at 9:00 a.m. and return at approximately 5:15 p.m. All
students should report to first period at 8:38 a.m. There will be no zero
period on June 9th. The price for Great America is $35 and includes admission
and transportation fees. If your child has a Season Pass or WOW card, he/she
will only be required to pay $7 for transport
ation. All students must return
to Miller on the bus.
If your son or daughter wishes to attend Reward Day, please complete the
attached permission slip and return it with a check or money order (no cash
please) made out to Miller Middle School by May 30th. Students are to return
the permission form and payment to their first period teacher. Students who
do not wish to attend or are not eligible are expected to attend school on
Reward Day. A planned educational program will be conducted during the
regular school hours.

*Students who are eligible to attend the Miller Middle School Reward Day:
* have fewer than 4 U’s in citizenship for the year
* have fewer than 6 discipline referrals for the year.
* are not on the exclusion list for missing detention or Saturday School.
* have not been excluded due to disciplinary action by school administration.
* are not failing a class two weeks prior to Reward Day.
Ineligible students who attend Reward Day on their own will lose graduation
ceremony privileges (8th graders) and/or face disciplinary action (6th, 7th,
8th graders).
