Soles4Souls has a simple mission: To impact as many lives as possible with
the gift of shoes. Instead of dumping new or gently used or outgrown shoes in
the trash,
consider donating them to needy people around the world.

For a limited time (from October until Dec. 2, 2008), Soles4Souls and Miller’s
Running Club will be collecting your gently worn athletic footwear and/or
donations to ship the shoes to a person in need, whether the recipient is a
victim of a natural disaster or subject to living in poverty.

Miller’s Running Club: “We can use the shoes taking up space in your closet
to change the world one pair at a time.”

People and companies interested in donating can drop off shoes at Miller.
Please put a rubber band around the shoes to keep them together, or put the
shoes in a plastic bag. We would also appreciate a $1.00 donation for
shipping costs. Please give the donation for shipping to Ms. Emerson. There
will be collection boxes for shoes at different locations around campus.
Thank you all for your support.

Soles4Souls is a 501©3) recognized by the IRS; donating parties are eligible
for tax advantages. Visit www.giveshoes.org for more information.

Support Cancer Research “Save Lids to Save Lives”: For every pink lid you send
in, Yoplait® will donate 10 cents to the breast cancer cause, up to $1.5
million. And they guarantee a donation of at least $500,000. This money goes
to research and treatment across the country. They are also proud to be the
National Presenting Sponsor of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®.

So bring in your washed, pink lids from your yogurt and turn them in to the
collection envelopes in your classrooms. This will run until Winter Break so
start saving! Questions? See Mrs. Davies
