11/18/11- SCIENCE ACADEMY FIELD TRIP COMING UP!!
On December 2, 2011 we will be taking ALL of the Science Academy students to
the California Science Center for a field trip. The kids will have a chance
to check out the different exhibits and see "Flying Monsters 3D," the new
IMAX movie about dinosaurs! Make sure you bring either your lunch or money
for lunch with you and $5 for the IMAX movie!

VENUE: Granada Hills Charter High School, 10535 Zelzah Avenue, Granada Hills,
CA 91344.
The Small Manufacturers' Institute and The Robodox, Granada Hills Charter High
School's robotics team are proud to host the Robodox/SMI VEX Gateway Challenge
for the 2011-2012 season. This competition is open to any and all VEX robotics
teams. Top teams from this event will qualify for the VEX World Championship
in April.
They will have two competition fields, a Skills Challenge field and full
practice field at this event. Both Robot Skills and Programming Skills
Challenges are open to all registered teams.
A special VEX Playing Field will available during the day for attendees to try
their hand at driving a VEX robot at this 2nd annual Robotics Open House.

On October 28th we will be having a spook-tacular Halloween Costume Film Night
featuring "Young Frankenstein" in Burrill Hall. Tickets are $3 in advance and
