Late Policy Activates
Beginning on October 17, the full late work policy will be in effect. Please consult the 5th Grade Handbook for details, and feel free to contact me with your questions.
Band Instruments and Home Practice
As previously requested, anything you can do to help your student remember a couple of things regarding band will be greatly appreciated (and your student's band grade will benefit as well!):
- Please help your student to bring their band instrument to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Forgotten instruments cause deductions to your student's grade.
- Students are required to practice their instrument outside class for 60 minutes each week. Practice sheets are due on Thursdays, and require parent signature. You don't have to use the sheet I've created--its merely for your convenience--but may be recorded on any 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper.
Missing Supplies
Please check in with your student about any school supplies they are needing. We've used things for a whole quarter now, and some students are running low on binder paper, lead for mechanical pencils, and regular pencils. A "Help, I'm out of..." list will be coming home on Friday of this week so you can replace any missing supplies over the weekend. Thanks for your help with this!
