During the next couple of months our First Grade class will be busy. January
holds learning about God’s love throughout the world and how we are all one
big family. The class will take this understanding and it will lead us into
the LOVE of February. We will experience together all the love Jesus has for
us and we can express it to each other on Valentines Day. Following that
celebration we transition into Lent and experience Jesus’ unconditional love.
There is a lot of growth academically during the next few months. We will be
learning more in math with fact families, graphs, patterns and time. In
reading we will be concentrating on the comprehension of what we have read
and writing a paragraph. In Science we will be talking about healthy eating
and taking care of the beautiful bodies that God has given us.
We have a beautiful toy chest that will be auctioned off at our school
fundraiser in February. We are so excited to share our artistic talents.
The toy chest will surly be a big hit at the Serenade.
January ends and February begins with our Catholic Schools week. We are so
excited to share our classroom and what we have learned with everyone. The
week will be busy but full of a lot of fun.
