Mrs. Okamura is known for creating Japanese classes here in the San Francisco

Bay Area. She likes spreading the Japanese culture! Indeed, she created and

taught all the Japanese classes at Ohlone College. In addition, she created

the transfer courses at Chabot College, the Kanji (Chinese character) classes

at UC Berkeley Extension, Conversaion classes at San Jose University and

performs Business Etiqette training seminars at nearby business firms.  She

now has come to Mission San Jose High to start

the Japanese classes there. 

 

Mrs. Okamura's family lives in Japan and she goes back to visit every year. 

She likes taking videos and photos of Japan, and showing them to her

students.  Her hobby is going to sports clubs, making Japanese paper dolls,

and playing piano.  She likes sharing Japanese crafts with her students!
