Message from the Principal

We begin another school year at Mission Union Elementary...or I should say, you are beginning another school year. This is my first year here as it will be for several of our Kindergarten parents. We have been waiting anxiously, if not patiently, for this day to arrive.

There is nothing quite like the atmosphere on the first day of school. It is part excitement, part relief and just a little dab of sheer terror! Walking across a campus on the first day I get swept away in a torrent of childlike wonder, a sense of endless possibilities.

Walt Disney spoke often of dreams, my favorite Disney Quote is "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." So we begin this school year dedicated to the proposition of becoming a place where dreams are vigorously pursued!
We are committed to ensuring each and every student has access to the education necessary for them to be bold in the pursuit of their dreams. As the author and lecturer Joyce Meyer says "A # 2 pencil and a dream can take you anywhere!"

I want to thank everyone for receiving me so kindly. I look forward to working closely with you this school year. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call.
