      We at Most Holy Trinity draw all life in love to God through                                                Worship, Prayer, Study, and Good Works.                                                                                                                  May 18, 2012   Our sixth grade journey will be coming to an end soon.  I hope all of you are as proud of your children as I am.  It is amazing to see how much they have grown and matured over the school year!  We still have 17 school days left and they will be packed with lots of learning and fun!   Next week, all students in the diocese will be taking a Math test using our SchoolOne website. Each student was given his/her password.  Please remind your child to log on to the test site and take a practice test before Monday.   We continue to travel around the world with current events and by watching CNN Student News (Carl).  We are traveling back in time to take a fast trip through ancient China, Greece, and Rome.    Our final novel for this year is Esperanza Rising, one of my favorite books.  There will be a folder to complete and we are working on some of the activities in class.  The goal is to finish the book by the last week of May so we have some time to finish the folder.   We are in the process of planning a walking field trip to our local library on May 31. We will be going with our second grade buddies.   Our end of the year field trip is a scavenger hunt of downtown San Jose followed by lunch in the park. More information to follow, but please mark your calendars now:  Monday, June 11.   Dates to remember:  May 25: Welcome to the Table Mass (6th grade gift to 2nd grade)                                 May 28: Memorial Day holiday                                 May 30: Art Fair                                 May 31: Tentative field trip to the library                                 June 11  Field trip to downtown San Jose                                 June 12  Sports Day                                 June 13  Last day of school   SPECIAL NOTE:  REGISTRATION FOR NEXT YEAR IS NOW DUE. PLEASE REGISTER NOW SO THAT A SPOT WILL BE SAVED FOR YOUR CHILD.  We want to see everyone returning as 7th graders!   Have a great weekend!       Please continue to check teacherweb for information.
