Pg. 18 scientific process from hand out Hypothesis: An idea that can be experimentally tested to answer a question; an idea with the lowest level of confidence. Independent Variable: The one variable that is changed or tested in an experiment.Dependent Variable: The factor being measured in an experiment. It is dependent on what is being changed.Constants: The variables (all other factors) that stay the same during your experiment. Control: A sample that is treated exactly like the other experimental groups, except that the independent variable is not applied to it. Conclusion: The results of a carefully thought out, measured and data rich experiment.
Pg. 17 define Independent and Dependent and write 2 sentences explaining the relationship of these two words in regards of the scientific process
Pg. 20 two reasons why scientist use the metric system 1) Because scientists all over the world need to communicate in the same mathematical language when comparing research. 1) The metric system is based on units of 10, therefore it is easier to use when multiplying and dividing.
