Dear Parents:
They should have a historical fiction book for their next book
report.
They have a choice of Wed. Writes for this week's assignment.
Rough drafts will be due this Wednesday. I do not expect parents' signature
on these. I will do the editing. This does not automatically mean your
child will receive an A on their Wed. Write, but it does mean they have an
oppportunity to raise the grade they might otherwise receive. I would like to
see how students are progressing without parent input. I am not asking that
you not partake in your child's writing, especially if they need help using
the correct format for this assignment. But my intention is to see where
your child actually stands in the area of creative writing.
