Welcome! I am an 8th year history teacher. This year will be my fifth year
teaching Psychology. I love teaching psychology and I am thrilled
to have the opportunity to continue to teach it here at NPHS.
I graduated from TOHS in 2000; received my B.A. in History with a minor in
psychology from Cal Poly, SLO in 2004; received my Single Subject Social
Science Teaching Credential from California Lutheran University in 2006 and
my Masters of Education in Teaching from CLU in 2007. I also received my
Administrative Credential in 2010. When I can find the time I would love to
pursue a Masters in History, but I seem to find myself too busy with various
duties here at NPHS :)
This is my 7th year as head Girls' Soccer coach at NPHS. I love coaching
soccer! I have played soccer my whole life and it is so much fun to coach
something I loved so much growing up.
I am also the senior class advisor. I look forward to helping our seniors
plan a fun and memorable year. Good luck class of 2013!!
In my spare time I like to run. I ran the LA Marathon in 2006. It was the
hardest, coolest, most rewarding thing I have ever done. I also really
enjoy waterskiing/wakeboarding. I have been waterskiing since I was really
little and wakeboarding since I was 15. I was a member of the
waterski/wakeboard team while at Cal Poly for the 00-01 and 01-02 seasons.
It was definately a great experience.
Even though I was a Lancer, I really love being part of the Panther family.
NPHS has been a great place to work and I am so thankful for the opportunity
to work with the staff and students at NP.
I hope you enjoy my website and find it helpful for navigating through your
experience in my class. Email me with questions about course material or
homework.
All students will learn and have fun doing so! I love history and
psychology. I love teaching students about our past, where we are headed
for the future and how they fit into this great big world. I hope to pass
that love and knowledge on to my students and help them grow into educated,
critical thinking members of society.
