What happens if I turn something in late?

It is important to get assignments in on time and fully completed. Late assignments (projects & labs) may be turned in within 2 weeks of the original due date. They will not be accepted after that time for points. They are automatically reduced by 20%. If you do turn in an assignment after the 2 week time period, it is counted as "Count as Zero". This means that the student was willing to do the work. The benefit is that students can then ask for extra credit, if ALL assignments listed on Parent/Student Connect have been turned in.Unit Packets are graded based on content & accepted late. If you are absent, please check the Homework Binder to make up work.

How can I get extra credit?

All assignments listed on Parent/Student Connect must have been turned in, in order to do extra credit. Then ask Mrs. Hendricks for extra credit. Green workbooks are available. You may also be offered additional questions on certain assignments given by the teacher. Sometimes supplies are needed for class. EC may be given for those supplies.

How do I make up absent work?

If you were absent, you should first look at past assignments page on this website, if you were absent for multiple days, or log onto etusd.org. You can also contact a friend, if possible. When you return to my class, go to the HW BINDER. You will find an DAILY SCIENCE LOG which tells you what was collected, checked or stamped, what was assigned and when it is due, what we did in class and what future due dates are. If there is a handout that you need, look behind the Daily Science Log sheet and find out what it looks like. Then go to the HANDOUT BOX and take a handout. You need to copy any notes taken on the day of absence from Etusd.org or a friend in class. Missed tests need to be made up on the day after a test or on Thursday at 12:20pm during lunch. If you need extra help, please see Mrs. Hendricks or a responsible friend.
