I hope that everyone enjoyed our Halloween Parade and celebration as much as I did! Thank you parents for your ongoing presence and support of our children! Thank you for all of the donations of treats and Mrs. Rappeport’s fantastic science experiment with dry ice!

I was so proud of all of my students’ remarkable behavior and great sportsmanship. Please know that this is what I get to observe every day. They are outstanding characters!

Our class came in second in pledge collections from the Jog-a-thon! We collected over $1,350!!!! That is by far the most ever. Thank you so much! Not only does this cover the costs of our field trips but allow us to purchase outdoor equipment, games, art supplies, party supplies and MUCH more. WE CAME IN FIRST PLACE IN THE BOX TOP COLLECTION!! What a competitive group! Next week we will be awarded with an ice cream party.

I am looking forward to our conferences in the afternoons this week. Be sure to ask any questions and share your thoughts with me as we discuss your child’s skills this trimester. Remember that you children will be eating lunch at school prior to dismissal.

Thank you Angelina for the snacks. Once again, thank you Mrs. Osuna for the great big pumpkin piñata! It was used as a decoration at our middle school dance and will be stored for use in the future.

This week we will study letter Oo, number 11 and continue our study of mammals. In math we will be working with shapes and using playing cards to add 1, possibly 2.

******THIS WEEK IS RED RIBBON WEEK. The student council added a little more detail on Friday as to what to try to wear daily:
Monday – Wear Red Day!
Tuesday – Red Socks Day! Wear as much red every day as possible but get bonus points for our class on these days.
Wednesday – Crazy Red Tie Day!
Thursday – Team Jersey Day!
Friday – Wacky Red Hair Day!

PICTURE RE-TAKES WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH. For students who were absent on picture day. If you wish to have re-takes you must return your package, along with a note from your parents stating that they want you to have a re-take. Our annual canned or boxed food drive has begun. We have a collection barrel in our class for the items. A pizza party will be awarded to the class bringing the most food items. Have a great week. I’ll be seeing you for conferences!

Please look at the updated important dates listed on the Announcements Calendar Page for important dates to remember.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Clouse and Grandma Pat
