Homework in first grade consists of reading each evening for a minimum of
fifteen minutes. Reading logs are to be maintained at home and returned to
school on Friday. Spelling words for the week will be attached to a new
reading log and sent home each Monday. Additional homework that reinforces
new concepts learned in class will come home in the daily homework folder,
and is due back the next day. If a student is absent, missed assignments
will be placed on his/her desk in the classroom. Parents are welcome &
encouraged to stop by the classroom to pick up any missed assignments.
It is important to check your child's daily folder each evening for homework
and/or other important information.
