Room 4 Homework Policy

On the first day of every school week, starting the second week of school, you will bring home a
weekly homework packet with a Behavior Report/ Homework Contract to let your family know how
things are going at school.
Homework for each day is listed on the front page of the homework packet.
Students should NOT work ahead of the schedule, because math homework is often assigned after a
certain day’s math lesson is taught!
Homework packets are always due on the last day of each school week unless I send a special memo
home with you.

Sixth graders are expected to be responsible for completing their work and turning it in on time.
Students who have not completed their assignments will make up the work during recesses.
If a family emergency prevents you from returning your homework packet, homework may be
excused only if you provide a note from a parent or guardian.

View the next homework contracts on the "Homework Contracts" page!
Also, you will find many suggestions in the section called "How Parents Can Help at Home" for ideas
that support different subject areas.
