Mr. Carmody has been in education for the
last 18 years. Beginning his career in the California
desert (Palm
Springs),
he made his way to the Bay Area 14 years ago, and has been at O’Hara Park the
last nine.

An 8th grade language arts
teacher, Mr. Carmody has had the pleasure and honor seeing students mature
throughout the school year and helping prepare them for the transition to high
school. He believes he has been fortunate to have students such as he has at
O’Hara Park; after all, students are a crucial element to the school
community.

In his personal time, Mr. Carmody practices
and studies piano works ranging from Byrd to Liszt, Beethoven to Granados to
name a few. And, of course, he loves to read.
