WELCOME TO MRS. IERVOLINO'S CLASSROOM WEB SITE NEW! Has spring finally arrived? It sure feels like it today! The April book report assignment and materials will go home on Monday, April 4th and will be due, Monday, May 2nd. The children will design a flip book to highlight the setting, important characters, problem and solution. The report will be based on a children's classic. There will be books to choose from in class, in the library, or a book can be selected from the Children's Classics list on this website. Click on the Photo/Docs page to see the list. In math we studying multiplication again with a multiple digit number being multiplied by a single digit number. The importance of knowing the math facts becomes apparent again and it is VERY IMPORTANT that your child learn their multiplication facts. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make this a daily part of homework. The children who don't have their facts memorized are at a huge disadvantage at this point. CHECK THE CALENDAR PAGE FOR UPDATES. Please visit this website often for updates and information about our classroom. I have created a new page on this site just for Math so be sure to check the "enVISION MATH" page for the Home Connection pages. There is a warning bell at 8:28 and your child is expected to be in line by thesecond bell at 8:30. They will be sent to the office for a tardy slip if they arrive after this time. Please say your goodbyes before they get in line so that we can get right to class after flag salute. Please see the Class Schedule page on this site for a detailed daily class schedule. Try to schedule appointments for your child outside of school hours. If you know your child will be missing school, it helps me to know that in advance so that I have time to prepare work for them if they will be gone any extended length of time. Independent study forms can be obtained in the office if your child will miss more than 4 days of school.
