If my child is going to miss more than a week of school, what should we do?

Please let me know if your child will be missing several days of school. It
is important for your child not to get behind because of his or her absence.
Classwork, along with homework can be sent home to keep your child up to
date
with what we are learning. For absences that are longer than 5 days, your
child will need to complete an Independent Study Contract. Please let me
know as soon as possible of any days that you will be missing, so that I can
better accomodate you and your family.

What is the best way to contact you?

The easiest way to get a hold of me is through e-mail. My e-mail address is
jhawley@iusd.org. I check my e-mail several times a day and also over the
weekend.

Do you need classroom volunteers?

Absolutely! We are constantly in need of volunteers to work with individual
students, help monitor students, and prep items for the classroom. Please
let me know if you would be interested in volunteering.
