There are new immunization requirements from the State of California, students must be up to date on their immunizations before they can be admitted. THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD! Also, all children entering Kindergarten are required to have one dose of varicella (chickenpox) vaccine or provide documented chickenpox disease or immunity.
Your child will be asked questions to assess his/her speech and language skills as well as pre-writing and pre-reading skills. Your child is separated from you during this time. Every effort is made to make this a happy, pleasant experience.
You can state your preference but a particular teacher request is not assured. There are several criteria used by the administrators in determining the classes.
