Oro Grande Technology
Oro Grande Elementary School District strongly believes in the use of
technology to enhance the educational experience both in and out of the
classroom.
When using technology at home parents should make install a program that
will block access to internet sites with improper or questionable content
and should closely monitor the sites and content that their child views.
The following links are to sites that are used by the school in the school's
technology lab to supplement and enhance the curriculum. Students have been
given a username and password to use these sites.
Other sites of educational interest can be found on the Web Pages of each
child's teacher or on the principal's web page (See the Faculty Section of
this site). When viewing ANY internet site at home, parents should closely
monitor their child's progress and the content at the site. Some sites,
such as encyclopedias, wikipedia, dictionaries, etc. may have content that
is not appropriate for younger students. Should parents find any objectional
material on a site recommended by the faculty they should immediately
contact the superintendent.
Internet Links
Odyssey Ware contains curriculum for 3rd through 12th grade students. All
lessons are assigned by the child's teacher and a student may only work on
assigned lessons. The teacher may be contacted by the student through the
site's messaging function. Students may use the assigned user name and
password to access the site.
Odyssey Ware Log On
Brain Pop is fun site for students with many short lessons on a variety of
subjects. The characters Tim and Moby present a short movie on each lesson
followed by a quiz on the subject. Experiments and other projects are also
available on the site. Students may use the assigned user name and password
to access the site.
