PHS policy concerning detentions requires students to clear an absence with the Attendance Office within 3 days of that absence. If not, the absence will be noted as 'unexcused' and may then only be cleared by serving a detention for each period missed. In accordance with class rules, if a student has any unserved detentions at the end of any grading period, his/her grade will be lowered by one grade level. This is impportant, so make sure and monitor your detentions by periodically reviewing your detention status either here, in Aeries, or on the bulletin board in the classroom.
