Do I have to use www.turnitin.com?

Yes. I will not grade an assignment until it is turned in online.
If you have trouble turning in your assignments online, please
email them to me and then come in at Tutorial to learn how to use
the site. I am required to have you turn in major assignments to
this site. Our school uses it to detect plagiarism and also to
safeguard our students' intellectual property.

When is Mrs. Jackson available?

I will always be in my classroom at Tutorial. I am also always
at school before the regular day begins. I am sometimes in my
room at Lunch, although I'm trying to cave in to peer pressure to
eat lunch with other teachers, so don't expect me to be there.
If I'm in there, you can come in and hang out, do work, or get
help. If you ask me beforehand, I am usually more than happy to
stay at lunch or after school to help you.

What is the best way for students and parents to reach Mrs. Jackson?

I prefer email, as it is easier for me to respond fully and
thoughtfully, and it also provides me with a record of our
communications. My email address is sjackson@petk12.org. I
check my email often during the school day, but I try to only
check it a few times (or less) an evening. I do not check my
school voicemail, but I do check my personal voicemail often.
The number for that phone is 477-2635.

If you are on this page, the easiest way to email me is
to click on the link that says "Email Mrs. Jackson."
