Science

Our science goal is to focus on scientific processes and methods of inquiry. Students will be given opportunities for leadership and cooperative teaming skills in both small and large group settings where hands-on activities will be used to teach science.  Science units will emphasize physical, life, and earth sciences.
 
First Quarter: Life Sciences--Structures of Life
Second Quarter:  Earth Sciences--Sun, Moon, and Stars
Third Quarter:  Physical Sciences--Matter and Energy
 

Below is an online resource for parents and students for our science textbook by Foss/Delta Education. This is an extremely valuable tool especially to help build vocabulary and a better understanding of the concepts taught in class. I highly encourage all of you to check out this site to help your child and you better understand the science units we will be covering throughout the year. Click on 3rd-6th grade and select the science unit we are currently studying in class. Happy Surfing!
