PTAPlaza Vista's Parent Teach Association (PTA) is working to build a strong membership for 2009-2010. They invite you to join Plaza Vista’s Parent Teacher Association. THE DYNAMITE KIDS class will win a one time treat such as root beer floats/ Sherbet with fizzy juice floats or ice cream treats/popsicles if we can get the highest membership participation for our 3rd grade level. The children were very excited about this!
So why join PTA?
By joining PTA you are supporting an organization that coordinates material support for teachers and school programs, provides a forum for family-school communication, and hosts events for school community building. Your membership also lends additional weight to advocacy efforts carried out by PTA at the local, state, and national levels. Membership allows you to vote in PTA elections, and to serve on the board. And membership also includes a copy of the Plaza Vista School Directory. A membership FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions is on the PTA website at http://teacherweb.com/CA/PlazaVista/PTA/faq1.aspx *So how do I join PTA?* PTA Membership forms were sent home recently. For families, PTA membership is an option on the Pledge Drive Form and on the Directory Form. They are also creating a membership "only" form that will be placed in the office and on the PTA website in the next day or so. Forms may be returned to the PTA box in the front office.
PTA also encourages families to make a TAX DEDUCTIBLE pledge to support their ongoing efforts in supporting Plaza Vista.
*Deadline* PTA is giving a deadline of Thursday, September 10 for membership.
*Next meeting* The next meeting is Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30 pm. You may also always provide comments and suggestions to any Board member.
