Welcome to third grade! It’s hard to believe we are beginning another year at Plaza Vista School. I am anticipating a wonderful year of experiences for all of us. During the first weeks of school our class will be getting acquainted, reviewing skills, and assessing students’ instructional needs. The beginning-of-the-year work is at a level where each student can find success. Please know that the expectations will increase as the year progresses.
Third grade is an important year. Information regarding curriculum and student expectations will be provided at Back-to-School Night on August 7th. I will have a chance to personally discuss your child’s educational objectives at Goal Setting conferences, September 8th - September 12th.

P.S. Due to the hot summer months of our year-round school, please make sure to have your child wear sunscreen daily, bring a small bottle of water to keep on his or her desk, and a hat/cap for sun protection when playing outdoors.
