Our writing goal is to develop confident, expressive writers.  Third grade writing experiences will include creative writing, letter writing, journal writing, and expository writing. Writing in paragraphs will be a main focus throughout the year.  Students will be able to incorporate personal experiences into their authentic writing.  The writing process will be taught through teacher modeling and Writer’s Workshop.  In Writer’s Workshop students will select topics, write well-organized stories, self-edit, publish, and present their own narratives.
