Our social studies goal is to integrate world and local geography, history, and economics to better understand our world. This will be accomplished through the use of the text, as well as by student-created research reports and projects. These activities will be designed to elicit higher level thinking skills and develop a sense of story to the process of history. Geography Skills, local Native American History, Communities, and the study of local Irvine history will comprise a major portion of the social studies experience.
