Kerri Fung & Kathy Albright will be taking the lead on this year's
Membership Drive and 2008-2009 Directory.We will need help with organizing
forms, doing data entry, proofreading, and distributing directories to Plaza
Vista families.

Reflections
Aug. - Nov. This National PTA program that offers kids the opportunity to
create works of art in 4 areas: literature, musical composition, photography
and visual arts. The chair will distribute flyers, hang posters, and submit
forms. Volunteer to assist chair,
Scholastic Book Fairs
We have two book fairs each school year (August and March). Our chairs,
, always need people to help set-up, run
registers, help students find books and clean-up.
Spirit Wear
Each Year, PTA sells Plaza Vista Spirit wear. Our chairs, will need help
distributing fliers to classrooms, helping with
the "try-it-on" booths, and distributing the clothing upon its arrival.

Popsicles
Chairs
This is a great fundraiser we do throughout the year. We sell popsicles the
1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month.Need volunteers to help sell
popsicles. You can help out every time, or on a monthly basis.Easy!
Dinner Nights Out/Bingo Nights
We organize family dinner night outs at local restaurants and the pta
receives a portion of the profits. will need
help contacting local restaurants, setting up dates, advertising and
distributing fliers to classrooms
Red Ribbon Week
will need volunteers to help promote
activities, distribute flyers and decorate the school for this drug
awareness program
Cookie Dough
This is the yummiest fundraiser of all. If you are interested in helping our
chairs, we will need help distributing
orders sometime in October.
Box Tops
Jennifer Ekrami is our Box Top coordinator. She needs volunteer(s)
throughout the year to help collect & cut box tops. A great "at home" job.
Albertsons/Target
We need a chair to send home flyers about the program and get cards for new
families. This is another great "at home" job.
School Community Event
We will need someone to coordinate Service projects with local charities,
including Families Forward & OC Animal Shelter.
Tanaka Farms
Linda Shimizu & Kiyo Nagatomi have organized a healthy partnership with our
local Organic Farm, Tanaka Farms. They need volunteers to help distribute
the boxes of Fruits & vegetables each week.

Guys Stuff
will need volunteers to help with invitations, food ,booking a speaker,
and decorations for this 5th grade boys event. Also need 4th and 5th grade
parents to be servers.
Ladies Tea
This 5th Grade girls event Headed up by will need help Sending out
invitations, and booking a speaker
planning food & decorations. We will Also need 4th grade parents as servers.
Staff Appreciation
This May event, chaired by needs a few
good parents to send home flyers, collect donations, get volunteers, and
plan staff luncheon along with other daily activities.
Muffins for Mom
This May event needs a chair to purchase muffins & coffee and organize
volunteers to greet moms in the morning with their treats! A dad would be
great for this job!
Jog-A-Thon
will need some volunteers to help get info to students, get
donations for prizes & put together supplies for the day of the event. We
will also need parent volunteers for set-up, counting pledges, and counting
donations.
Carnival
Chairs need a team of volunteers to help
advertise, get donations for raffle prizes, coordinate food booths, purchase
prizes and organize parent volunteers.
Donuts for Dad
This June event, chaired by will need help to purchase donuts &
coffee and organize a couple volunteers to greet Dads in the morning with
their goodies
