We will celebrate your child’s birthday at school this year. Many children have found that donating a new book either to our library or to the school library is a great way to celebrate. If you would like to do this, you may send a book (wrapped in birthday paper and tied with a ribbon is fun), which will then become a permanent part of either our classroom or the school library.

If you still want to send a “treat” for the class, we’ve found that pencils, stickers, popcorn, cupcakes, or cookies make good treats, along with napkins. Please NO cakes!

Please note, you are NOT obliged to do any of the above activities. Also please do NOT send birthday invitations to school with your child to pass out, unless you are inviting the entire class.
