Bingo Family Night is coming up
Make sure you mark your calendars for Thursday March, 21st @ 6pm.
We will be showing our school spirit and celebrating the beginning of our Spring Break with a
fun night of Bingo, music and prizes.. More information coming soon.
Pledge Drive
We have had a very successful pledge drive to fund educational programs at our school.
Thank you to everyone who has pledged. It is not too late to pledge either, we
accept donations all year long.
Also check with your company to see if they will do a matching gift.

Bake Sales and Popsicle Sales
Our last bake sale in January raised $201, thank you to all of you who baked and purchased items.
Our next bake sale will be on June 5. Popsicle sales will be starting shortly.
Jogathon
The Jog-A-Thon was held Feb. 1 and we're pleased to report it was a great success. Thank you to all
of our Plaza Vista families for your support. Your pledges will go towards vital programs at Plaza Vista.
Also, our middle school met their goal of $5,000, way to go!
A big thank you to Parisa Shahabi and the Jog-A-Thon Committee for their hard work in organizing such a
smooth event. Thank you also to all of the volunteers who helped out including the National Junior Honors
Society, we couldn't have done it without your assistance.
Reflections
Sun Safety
We had an amazing response to our sun safety Wear-A-Hat campaign. It was great to see all the kids participate. We hope to see them continue to wear
their hats while out on the playground! Congratulations to Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Benzie and Mrs. Perini for the classrooms with the most
participation. Special thank you to Valerie Yee for organizing our sun safety campaign!
Volunteer Opportunities
PTA-sponsored events are run solely by volunteers and it takes a lot of them to make it all happen! There are a few events in the next quarter where we
would appreciate your involvement, Book Fair and Bingo Night.
