Spelling

Each week your child will have 8 spelling words.  Four of them go in 
the front part of the book (class words), and four of them go in the 
back part of the book (home words).  While it may seem confusing at 
first, eventually it will make sense.

Spelling is part of our daily morning work.  Your child will have 
specific tasks to do on specific days.  In class, those assignments 
pertain to the CLASS WORDS.  The same task will take place that night 
for homework, only this time the HOME WORDS will be used.

Here is the assignment schedule:

         Class Words (done in class)    Home words
Mon        -Copy all of the words         -Read both lists to someone       
Tues       -Write each word 3 times       -Write each word 3 times-neatly
Wed        -Write 2 sentences             -Write 2 sentences
Thur       -Put them in ABC order         -Put them in ABC order & study
Fri        -Set up the book for next week
