| Golden Paw Award | |
| Adults (parents, teachers, volunteers, staff members) are invited to fill out gold-colored Golden Paw Award coupons whenever they wish to acknowledge another adult for any reason - birthday, congratulations, for being kind, helpful, supportive, friendly, etc. After filling out a Golden Paw Award, please turn the form in to the school office. The completed forms are placed in a can in the school office from which a weekly winner is randomly drawn and announced each Monday, along with the Pomelo Proud Winners. The weekly winner receives a gift. For every 25 coupons accumulated, parents can turn them into the office to receive a gift compliments of TEAM Pomelo/PTA. For every 50 coupons accumulated, staff members can also turn them into the office to receive a gift. | |

Students caught in the act of being thoughtful or patient, doing a good deed, displaying exemplary behavior according to our Pillars of Character (fairness, responsibility, citizenship, respect, caring, and trustworthiness)are awarded with green coupons called "Pomelo Prouds". Only teachers and staff can give Pomelo Prouds to students. Each coupon has a tear-off stub that the child places in the appropriate grade level can in the office. Every Monday one stub is randomly picked from each of the cans (K-5) and announced to the school assembly. The seven selected (K-5) students receive a coupon for ice cream, compliments of TEAM Pomelo/PTA. For every ten Pomelo Prouds received, a student can turn them into the office and select a special pencil. Both Pomelo Proud Awards and Golden Paw Awards can be held and carried over into the next year. |
