HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS
Most homework will be sent home each day - Monday through Thursday*.
*Exception: Spelling contracts will be sent home on Friday and will be due
the following Friday.
Homework procedures...
Students are expected to write their assignments down on their homework
assignment sheet each day. We will post homework assignments on the front
board Homework will consist of One Math Page, One language page,
with special activities given throughout the month.
*Spelling Homework...
Each week your student will recieve a spelling homework
list and contract. They will be able to choose from several types of study
techniques to assist them in remembering their words for the test on
Friday. A PreTest will be given on Wednesdays to assist your child in
studying words that they need to practice. Each week's words are always
posted on our announcement page!
*Book Logs...
The students will have a book log where they need to record 15 minutes of
reading per night. They need to record 5 nights a week. The logs will be
collected on the last school day of the month...so they should have 20
entries in their log...more is fine too! Any questions? Ask Mrs. Altknecht.

If you feel your student needs some assistance with homework assignments
(either more challenging work or simplier work), let us know!
We would be happy to set up an individualized plan for them!!
Finally...
You will be given advanced notice of any quizzes or special project.
