Practice makes Perfect

            Please work on the following:
Language Arts:

Encourage your child to print their first name. When practicing, please
only capitalize the first letter in their name. All others letters should
be lowercase.

Read each night with your child. After reading, ask your child questions
about the story. This will tell you if your child is comprehending the
story.

Please work with your child on learning their phone number and emergency
number.

Math:

-Work on identifying/drawing shapes
-Counting
-Sorting by one characteristic

*These activities could be done with a variety of material and in a variety
of places For example, take a walk to count trees or flowers, or identify
shapes & colors as you take a car trip. Having your child help with dishes
or laundry could become a fun sorting activity (large/small, colors, etc.);
who would have guessed that housework could be so educational?

Fine Motor Skills:

Encourage your child to draw and write with a #2 pencil.

Use pencils, crayons, glue, and scissors
*Have your child doing various activities using these materials in order for
him/her to become comfortable and confident in using them.

-Trace
-Draw
-Crafts

*Engaging in these activities will help further develop your child’s fine
motor skills.
